Elliott Sadler and Stanley Racing Auction Race Used Pink Driver Suit and Wheels to Benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure®

STATESVILLE, N.C. (Oct. 11, 2008) – Elliott Sadler and Stanley Tools are adding an element to their support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Susan G. Komen for the Cure following this weekend’s Bank of America 500.

Sadler, who is running a pink paint scheme and wearing a pink firesuit for this weekend’s Bank of America 500 in Charlotte, is placing two auction packages on http://www.sadlerfoundation.org to raise additional funds for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

“Most race fans know supporting breast cancer awareness is very important to me and my family,” said Sadler. “Last year my mother, Bell, was diagnosed with breast cancer and so far she’s been able to beat it. The folks at Susan G. Komen reached out to us exactly one year ago so for us to be able to run this special paint scheme and offer race fans one of a kind memorabilia supporting breast cancer awareness month is a great way to give back. Stanley really stepped up to make this program a success and when this weekend is over race fans will have a chance to own the pink wheels from our No. 19 car and the pink firesuit I’m wearing this weekend at Charlotte.”

One of the auctions will contain one full set of pink wheels, each autographed by Sadler. The wheels will be on the car for pre-race and through the first pit stop of the Bank of America 500. An autographed 8 inch by 10 inch photograph of the pink No. 19 Stanley Dodge on the race track and a certificate of authenticity from Gillett Evernham Motorsport are included in the package.

The second auction package contains the autographed race worn pink firesuit, pink Puma shoes and a pink Stanley pit cap.

The auctions will kickoff at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008 shortly before the actual running of the Bank of America 500 at Charlotte. The auctions will conclude at 8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19.

In addition to Stanley Tools original $100,000 donation, they have agreed to match the totals from each auction package to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure. All proceeds from the auctions will benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

The pink Stanley logo that appears on the No. 19 Dodge and on Sadler’s firesuit marks the first time in the company’s 165 year history that its logo will change to a color other than Stanley Yellow.

Charity Auction to Benefit Autism Speaks and the Kasey Kahne Foundation

STATESVILLE, N.C. - Race fans always want to get closer to the action. Now, Stanley Tools is offering race fans the opportunity to ride shotgun in the No. 19 Stanley Tools Dodge with Elliott Sadler or in the No. 9 Budweiser Dodge with Kasey Kahne on Oct. 28, 2008 for the “Experience of a Lifetime.”

The “Experience of a Lifetime” online eBay auction features one package for each driver and gets race fans closer to the action than ever before. The auction package includes: hot laps with Kasey Kahne or Elliott Sadler, a Richard Petty Driving Experience package; a behind the scenes tour of the Gillett Evernham Motorsports race shop in Statesville, N.C.; five-off, five-on pit crew instruction and training to experience what pit road is really like during a race; travel accommodations and dinner with Elliott Sadler at one of his favorite local restaurants.

Dover Paint Scheme and Autographed Hood

I have a special Autism paint scheme this week at Dover.  I will be auctioning off the autographed hood from the No. 19 Best Buy car through our Foundation website. 

This is part of the release:

DOVER, Del. – Elliott Sadler is losing part of his car after the Dover International Speedway race on Sunday; and it’s perfectly fine with him.The No. 19 Dodge will feature a special paint scheme in conjunction with the Best Buy 400 benefitting Student Clubs of Autism Speaks at the Monster Mile this weekend. And, in a combined effort with Gillett Evernham Motorsports and the No. 19 team’s primary sponsor, Best Buy, someone is going to own the hood off the Dodge.

2008 Barn Party

We are doing the Barn Party this year with Dale Jarrett’s & Kasey Kahne’s fan club.  This is a little bit of the article about it.

EMPORIA, Va. (May 22, 2008) – Race fans that belong to the Hermie and Elliott Sadler Fan Club, Dale Jarrett Fan Club and Kasey Kahne Fan Club have the chance to attend a bash in September like no other. The 2008 Barn Party will kickoff at the famed Sadler Barn in Emporia, VA on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2008 at noon. The event will be highlighted with appearances by NASCAR stars Elliott and Hermie Sadler,  Jarrett and  Kahne. Fans will have the opportunity to enjoy live concerts and appearances by recording artists Blake Shelton, Bucky Covington and Lee Brice….

helmetThe foundation is doing an online auction for the helmet I wore last month to raise money for The Hermie and Elliott Sadler Foundation.  This is a little bit from the article:

EMPORIA, Va. — For the month of April, Elliott Sadler has sported a specially-designed Autism Awareness helmet at every track. Now, that very same helmet will belong to whoever wants it most. 

A day after celebrating his 33rd birthday, Sadler is placing the helmet up for auction on www.sadlerfoundation.org beginning Thursday, May 1 and running until May 19.
